The TC Story

Here’s the thing about intimates — they’re the foundation of how you feel all day. We started TC Fine Intimates because we were tired of choosing between pieces that looked good but felt terrible, or comfortable basics that made us feel like we’d given up. After years of adjusting straps, dealing with rolls and bulges, and throwing away stretched-out shapewear after a few wears, we decided there had to be a better way.

TC stands for “True Comfort,” but it also represents our founder’s initials — because this brand is personal. Every piece we create goes through what we call the “all-day test.” If we wouldn’t wear it from morning coffee through evening drinks (and maybe even forget we have it on), it doesn’t make the cut. We work with mills that understand the science of stretch and recovery, partnering with craftspeople who know that the difference between good and exceptional often comes down to a millimeter of seam placement or an extra percent of elastane.

What sets us apart isn’t just our obsession with fit — it’s understanding that confidence comes from knowing your foundation is solid. Whether you’re looking for everyday essentials that disappear under clothes or shapewear that actually shapes without suffocating, we’ve spent countless hours perfecting the details others overlook. No scratchy labels, no weird bumps under fitted dresses, no wondering if everything’s staying where it should. Just intimates that work as hard as you do, designed by people who actually wear what we make.

Love Letters from Community

“The shapewear doesn’t feel like shapewear at all. I wore the high-waist brief under my wedding dress for 12 hours and honestly forgot I had it on. Finally, support that doesn’t sacrifice comfort.”

Emma K.

“TC’s wireless bras changed my entire perspective on comfort. The fabric is so soft it feels like wearing nothing, but somehow still gives me the lift I need. I’ve replaced my entire drawer.”

Priya S.

“As someone who’s always struggled with visible lines under clothes, the seamless thongs are a game-changer. The edges literally disappear under my tightest leggings. Worth every penny.”

Lisa T.

Common Questions

How do I find the right size?

The best approach is to take current measurements using a flexible tape measure. Measure around the fullest part of the bust, the natural waistline (typically the narrowest part of the torso), and the fullest part of the hips. Compare these measurements to the size chart provided with each product. When between sizes, consider the intended fit – size up for comfort or down for more support.

What’s the difference between light, medium, and firm control?

Light control offers gentle smoothing and is comfortable for all-day wear. Medium control provides noticeable shaping while still allowing easy movement – ideal for daily wear under most clothing. Firm control delivers maximum shaping and support, best suited for special occasions or when a more dramatic smoothing effect is desired.

How should these items be washed to maintain their shape?

Hand washing in cool water with mild detergent is ideal, but machine washing on a gentle cycle in a mesh laundry bag works well too. Always use cool water and avoid fabric softeners, which can break down elastic fibers. Air dry flat or hanging – never put these items in the dryer as heat damages the stretch fibers and can cause warping.

Will shapewear roll down during wear?

Quality shapewear with proper sizing should stay in place throughout the day. Rolling typically occurs when the size is too small or the style isn’t suited to body type. High-waisted styles with silicone grip bands at the waist tend to stay put better. Bodysuits and one-piece styles eliminate rolling entirely since there’s no waistband to shift.

Can these products be worn during exercise or physical activity?

While some lighter support pieces work for low-impact activities like yoga or walking, most shapewear isn’t designed for intense exercise. The compression and materials are optimized for shaping under clothes rather than moisture-wicking or athletic movement. For workouts, athletic-specific compression wear provides better breathability and flexibility.

How long do these products typically last with regular wear?

With proper care, quality intimate apparel typically maintains its shape and support for 6-12 months of regular wear (2-3 times per week). Signs it’s time to replace include stretched-out elastic, fabric pilling, loss of compression, or visible wear in high-friction areas. Rotating between multiple pieces extends the life of each item.
